News from Rick Allan King
I enjoyed sitting and visiting with Rick Alan King at NQC. He has a brand new project, “Stand Up.”..and so much energy and enthusiasm that he spreads around. If you can take in one of Rick’s concerts, I believe you will see that he is a blessing…just like I did. Evie
Rick wrote me: “Since NQC”….
1. I got my new project, “Stand Up!!!” just in time for my first Homecoming Concert October 24. I had Jim and Shirley Profitt “The Profitts” as special guests. It was a great night of gospel music and laughter from telling “on the road” stories. I had a great surprise when David Hemphill Royce Taylor, and Gary Prim came out to celebrate with us. Also my Father, niece, and great-niece came from Indiana.
2. I am so proud of “Stand Up!!!” It is a little different from my previous projects. This was arranged and produced by Shane Roark on the Church House Music label. I took the old standard “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus” to whole new level, with four key changes and it really “gets up and goes.” Then there is the song,
“It’s a Shame” which is a total change of style for me as it rocks out. It was sent to me as a joke by my manager, Tom Sabella, as the rest of the title is, It’s a Shame We Don’t Get Along. I took the song seriously as the message is needed in today’s world.
I also have “It is No Secret” which has a smooth feel to it. All of these are getting a great response at concerts and are being considered for single release. There are also songs by Phil Cross, Joel Hemphill, and Daryl Williams.
3. The first of December we spent three days in Pigeon Forge, TN at Main Stay Suites for Christmas in the Smokies. This is an event sponsored by The SonShine Group – The Roarks. We sang, we ate, we did skits, we ate, we laughed, we ate, we prayed, we ate, we shopped, etc. I performed all three nights and received a tremendous response each night which I am thankful for.
4. I am going back on the road in February starting with a five concert tour in Florida after taking the holidays off. Then it’s on to Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, and am open for more dates. Please call to book or buy my new project – Rosie – the dog who travels with Lana and I, and Percy, and Pansy – parakeets, need food.

Dr. Daryl Petree …New Songs, New Concerts, and New Hope for 2010
Since 1988, Daryl Petree has been preaching across America, but long before that, he was traveling, singing, and songwriting, using his musical gifts in the ministry. He is an Ordained Bishop with The Churches of God, Cleveland, TN and has been honored with various awards for his ministerial efforts. Most recently, Petree was given the Evangelist of the Year Award for Evangelistic Superlatives, and The Spirit of Detroit Award by the City Council of Detroit Michigan.
Touching as many lives as possible and spreading the gospel through song, is his mission and trademark. It must be working, because within the past few years, he has been featured on more than 1600 radio stations and on many TV stations in all 50 States across America.
Petree is no stranger to pain, as he will openly admit that he has suffered some anguish and set-backs for the past few years. Yet, in a time that the economy is the culprit for robbing the message, he has decided to not let the lack of funds shut his music ministry down, as it has so many. He has gotten his second wind and spreading his message, still….with more gusto than ever!

Nashville, TN - The legendary Hinsons, who set a standard for Southern Gospel Music throughout several decades, still thrives today, as branches of the family tree continue to experience new, exciting growth. Eric Hinson, who traveled with the original group and has had a successful solo ministry since his departure, has teamed up with two other gifted recording artists to form Hinson Revival. His fiance’, April Nichols, a successful soloist, adds the alto part to the trio. The mission of Hinson Revival is to bring new life to the original Hinson material. Well known Hinson songs, such as “The Lighthouse” and “Masters Strong Hand” will be just a sampling of all the Hinson standards that will be performed, as well as, new material and showcases of these three phenomenal individual solo ministries. Each member will continue their already established schedules, but all are very excited about the new doors being opened for the new group.
Hinson Revival has chosen to sign an exclusive publicity contract with Evie Hawkins of EHA-Nashville. Evie says,”I’m honored and excited to be a part of this dynamic team. I’ve been a long time fan of Eric’s, since he was with the original Hinsons in the 80′s. April and Rod are artists that I have come to love and respect, as I become more familiar with their music and mission. Eric Hinson notes, “The Hinson family and ministry is stronger than ever and more dedicated than ever to sharing the hope that Jesus brings to a lost and dying world. Hinson Revival is happy to be another arm of the Hinson ministries.” Rod Burton adds, “I grew up listening to the Hinsons and loving their “in your face” ministry that they pioneered. I am beyond blessed to be just a small part of this legendary family and share their heart for ministry to those in need. We’re so excited to have the chance to work with EHA-Nashville in this ministry endeavor. They understand our hearts and our direction, and we’re excited to see where God leads us.”

Country Music’s Stephen Cochran Surprised with “Flag of Honor” Presentation
As Stephen Cochran and his amazing New Country Outlaws band performed for a packed New Year’s Eve crowd at Nashville Center Stage, he had but one goal in mind; to entertain the packed house and make sure the U.S. troops got some good cheer through the webcast he provided them. Cochran, an Iraq and Afghanistan Marine vet, was severely wounded in 2005 on his last tour, but has become unstoppable in his determination to advocate for veterans and U.S. troops. Continuously using his phenomenal country music talents of songwriting and performing to improve the morale of his fellow vets, has become his trademark and endured him to thousands of new fans. Halfway through his show, Cochran was caught off-guard, as his name was called by Master Sgt James Mackey who joined him on stage and presented him with the “Flag Of Honor,” which contains the names of all those who perished in the 911 terrorist attacks. As Cochran held up the flag, he reminded his fans of what his mission is all about: making a difference for fellow veterans and troops abroad. Wiping a tear, Cochran proved his words with, ”I’m humbled.” Joining forces with The Chris Casselo Trio, the Wayne Mills Band, Tim Scott, and Cochran’s fiancée, Annabelle Bainum, the show was a definite crowd pleaser for troops watching the webcast and fans and vets on the home front.
The Flag of Honor part of the Flag of Honor Fund is available on a limited number basis, only 1-2250. There are Limited Edition flags that can only be purchased to be given to one of the surviving family members that died in the 9-11 attacks.
