Highest Honor Qt Signs PR Agreement with EHA-Nashville

{Nashville, Tn- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE} Highest Honor Quartet announced today their publicity agreement with EHA-Nashville and plans to perform at the 2nd Annual Branson Gospel Music Convention. Highest Honor is a popular male quartet from Newport, TN and on the Riversong label of Homeland Entertainment Group. The quartet recently hired Tracy Trent to fill the tenor position left vacant by Jeff Davidson. Trent has been a long-time member of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet and says he is tremendously blessed to be a part of Highest Honor and looking forward to taking the quartet’s music all over the country. The quartet was recently invited to perform with Hinson Revival and New Vision Quartet in Cullman, AL and say they are looking forward to a successful year ahead with EHA. Evie Hawkins notes, “I am honored the group has trusted me with their press. Highest Honor will be a blessing to work with. I am excited to be a part of their team and anxious to see what is next on the horizon for this great group of men.” Other members include lead, Ron Crane; baritone, Roger Robinson; and bass, Joe Collins.

New Vision Quartet, CrossPoint, Capstone Quartet slated for North Ala. Quartet Convention

Goodsprings Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Rogersville, Alabama is hosting the 2010 North Alabama Quartet Convention April 9th and 10th, 2010. According to Pastor, Alan Lesley, the singing convention will begin on Friday, April 9 at 6:00 pm and continue with concerts on Saturday, April 10 at 2:30 pm and again at 6:00 pm. He notes, “We are very excited about hosting this event and are looking unto the author and finisher of our faith to revive and bless our church members, community and especially, you, our visitors. We, in return, are looking to bless, praise and uplift our Lord and Saviour as well. Come and experience the sweet sounds from some of Southern gospels finest musicians.”

New Vision Quartet, of Huntsville, AL is part of the line-up and becoming well-received on a national level, and will be performing at the 2010 Branson Gospel Music Convention taking place in Branson, Missouri, June 28–July 2. Recently New Vision hosted a concert featuring Hinson Revival and Highest Honor in Cullman, AL. The convention in Rogersville, AL will feature an array of quartets and artists, including popular, CrossPoint, of Benton, AR. The group performed in the lst Branson Gospel Music Convention in 2009, and were the winners in His Choice Music’s international talent competition. Capstone Quartet from Gordo, AL has been recording and performing for many years and sharing stages with some of the top names in the Gospel music industry. Other artists slated to appear include Broken Vessels, (Jackson, AL), Crusaders Ministries, Heaven’s Echoes, His Call, Mike Goodwin (Convention Pastor), River City Quartet (Huntsville, AL), and Velvet Ridge Singers.

The 2nd Annual Branson Gospel Music Convention sponsored by YMR Productions is rapidly filling up its roster with talent from across the country. Last year’s program was a success story and major Gospel recording artists will be on the line-up for the 2010 convention.The New Vision Quartet of Huntsville, AL, has been performing regionally, for the most part for years, but say they decided to take their music ministry to a national level this year. With a brand new project and another on the horizon this spring, owners, James Hillis and Ken Woods, feel the BGMC is a perfect venue to showcase their talent and make new connections with fans and other groups. Opry Vet, Stonewall Jackson, to Headline March 13 Benefit Concert.

Stonewall Jackson to Headline Benefit

An array of “Gospel Greats” will take the stage with Grand Ole Opry Vet, Stonewall Jackson, on March 13 for a fundraiser to benefit The Fathers House Church in Lavergne, TN in greater Nashville. The all-star line-up includes Bill Dykes, (a former Cathedrals baritone singer)…former Statemen Quartet member, Tank Tackett, and various successful Gospel soloists and groups such as Judah, New Vision Quartet, Garland Craft (formerly with the Oak Ridge Boys), Garry Valentine (formerly with the Journeymen Quartet), The Baxter Brothers, & Don Frost & Friends. Hosts of the show are no strangers to the stage. Pastor of the church, Rev. Bobby Howard, was founder of the Bobby Howard Singers and realized much national success with regular performances on the PTL Club and travels throughout the country with his music ministry. Rev. Howard’s brother, Dempsey Howard, also traveled with the Bobby Howard Singers, in addition to tours with the Segos & Naomi, the Telestials, the Countrymen, the Southmen, Jerry & The Singing Goffs, to name a few. His successful singing career carried over into authoring several books; thus, becoming a respected publisher and most recently Dempsey Howard created a Gospel music video site, Southern Stage, that has become a favorite place for Southern Gospel music lovers on the internet. All of these artists and more are to share the stage with Stonewall Jackson, Opry veteran and successful country music artist for many decades.
The concert will be held, Saturday, March 13, 2010, 7:00pm -11:00pm at Rock Springs Elementary School, 1000 Waldron Road, Lavergne, TN (Nashville)
The concert is free, but donations will be accepted.

Rod Burton, Hinson Revival, announced today that New Vision Quartet & Hinson Revival have added Highest Honor to the talent line-up for the March 19, Cullman, AL concert. Highest Honor is a popular male quartet and on the Riversong label of Homeland Entertainment Group. The quartet recently hired Tracy Trent to fill the tenor position left vacant by Jeff Davidson. Trent has been a long-time member of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet and says he is tremendously blessed to be a part of Highest Honor and take their music all over the country. The concert will be at the Cullman, AL Civic Center, March 19, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are now on sale and all seats are general admission of $10.00 for adults, and children 12 and under free.
