An excited audience filled the Branson Convention Center July 15 for the much anticipated talent search hosted by His Choice Music of Chattanooga, TN. The competition was a treat for early-arriving convention fans, and a diverse line-up of southern gospel talent competed for three recording packages made available by host, Johnathan Bond.
Founders of the Branson Gospel Music Convention, Rod and Kelly Burton, partnered with Bond to offer the top three winners a slot on the convention stage with names like the Stamps, Florida Boys, Ron Blackwood Quartet, Young Harmony, Kenny Bishop, Kirk Talley, Chuck Wagon Gang, Jay Stone Singers, Beyond the Ashes, McMillan & Life, Shannon Bunch, Eric Hinson,Second Generation, Bev McCann, Rick MaHarry, Sunday Edition and more.
Judges for the 2009 talent search were Rob Patz, President of Coastal Media Group, Jonathan Edwards – KWFC Radio Springfield, MO, and Evie Hawkins of EHA-Nashville, TN.
